Cardian Matsu "untitled tape pieces" sort of points to this album as a preceding work, a root of which it branched off from. It certainly feels like one of several strong bases.

Pensant leans really heavily into his strengths as a beatmaker on this, working some really driving percussion samples over the most relaxing backing music possible, angling the two elements just right until it meets in the middle.

There's some more ambient-oriented experiments towards the end as well, curbing off the album nicely. Favorite track: 新しい経路.

Strangeweather Stellar. This tape and a few others in Pensant's discography are among the most artistic cuts in the whole scene. Track 2 is this tape's thesis, swaggering with trip-hop cool. Warped synth fades in and out below a dizzying trumpet. Everything is okay — or is it? Listen 'til the end! Favorite track: ホノルル.
